Building a Brighter Future for Mental Health

Jose Hernandez’s Ascension Art was born directly from his near death experience. It was an aspect of his journey, the ‘living colour,’ that spoke to him in a million voices, bathing him in loving, sentient light. The experience was seared into his consciousness and he carried back with him the power of living colour. The artwork, intended as guided meditations, is his attempt to recreate the love, beauty, peace and energy of that space and bring it into the homes and lives of those who experience it here.

The artwork is used in the Inner Immersion Modality and forms the basis of the body of art for Immersive Arts. The art has exhibited in galleries across the country, and hangs in corporate and private collections worldwide and in permanent installations at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida, the Nicklaus Children’s Dan Marino Outpatient Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and other healing institutions across North America.

Jose has also co-founded Immersive Arts, a collaborative of art and design professionals to create centering, calming spaces in institutional and corporate settings, while providing the platform for deeper quantitative research into the art’s impact on wellbeing, creativity and health outcomes.

    All clinical mental health services are provided by independently licensed mental health professionals through their own practices. These professionals are responsible for implementing our behavioral health program, maintaining their licenses, and carrying their own liability insurance.

    The Founder, who developed the program based on experience with over 2,000 participants, participates in practicum sessions as a peer counselor. Peer counseling is not a licensed clinical service but complements the work of licensed professionals.

    Inner Immersion, Inc. primarily offers administrative and technology services to support mental health professionals. We do not provide licensed clinical counseling or medical services directly.

    Patients have the right to access their medical records. Licensed mental health professionals providing services through Inner Immersion are responsible for maintaining and managing these records in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards. With patient consent, records of care may be shared with the patient’s primary care provider via secure methods. Patients have the right to withhold or withdraw consent for such sharing.

    In the United States, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) governs the sharing of protected health information. In Canada, regulations vary by province, but generally, patient consent is required for sharing health information outside the circle of care.
