Stories that Speak for Themselves

What Our Customers Saying.
“Inner Immersion helped us uncover truths about ourselves that a lifetime of self-reflection had not. Using art, group engagement and expert facilitation provided a gentle, yet powerful, experience.”
Mary Ann Bayton, MSW Mental Health Professional"As a transpersonal psychologist and educator, I've witnessed how Inner Immersion empowers participants by trusting their innate wisdom. The facilitator acts as a companion rather than an authority, fostering a sense of agency that is often lacking in conventional therapy. This empowerment, combined with the program's holistic nature, makes Inner Immersion particularly effective in addressing complex mental health challenges and professional burnout.”
Wilka Roig Licensed Mental Health Professional and Educator, MTP, MFA, PFC“The extraordinary and personal nature of Inner Immersion brings a sense of calm and readiness to confront the inevitable, fostering a practical preparedness that is often overlooked […] Your gentle and transpersonal approach was devoid of religious overtones and addressed critical themes relevant to end-of-life preparation in an exceptionally unique way."
“I would encourage the adoption of the Inner Immersion program as a practical and valuable training modality for hospice staff and volunteers. Its gentle, transpersonal approach addresses crucial themes surrounding the end of life, providing an extraordinary and uniquely personal perspective."
"In a number of instances, I can attribute Inner Immersion as having a direct impact on being able to retain clients who were feeling unable to continue with their recovery.[…] Not only was Jose able to engage and connect with them, but the process of the talk, meditation and interpretation of their art deepened the sense of community and trust within the group; that bond remained.
The art interpretation provided insight into the subconscious that I had never experienced before. It allowed me to see things from a different perspective and gain a deeper understanding of myself and my clients.”
"As a second-generation residential school survivor and a mental health professional, I cannot emphasize enough the profound significance of Inner Immersion for our community's healing journey […], enabling us to confront and process intergenerational trauma in a safe and culturally sensitive space.
By reintegrating spirituality into mental health care, Inner Immersion restores our sense of identity and purpose, fostering true resilience and empowerment among First Nations individuals as we reclaim our collective strength and cultural heritage."
Question: There is a wealth of mental health resources available to Firefighters. After experiencing the group session and one-on-one, how do you think the Inner Immersion program could help firefighters become more receptive to exploring other existing treatments or modalities available to them?
"There have always been mental health resources available, the issue has always been if the members feel that they are trustworthy. The stigma is real. A lot has been done recently to reduce the stigma within the departments, but the personal belief and fear is still there. We have to provide them with quality help from people they trust, this is why peer programs have been so successful. Peers have walked the walk and have been in their shoes understanding the complexities and nuances of the work they do and the lives they lead. Without buy-in from the members, they will attend, smile and nod, be courteous, but walk away without getting the help some of them need. I believe the Inner Immersion is gentle and non-threatening, and if an individual is truly ready to seek treatment, they will be more apt to seek it after some self-discovery with this program, it's a starting point."
"I've attended [Inner Immersion workshops] and I've benefited from each one. It's another pathway to take in learning about oneself from a deeper level than ordinary conscious awareness. Like a glacier - there is so much more underwater that can't be seen. It's this under the water content - under the consciousness - that Joe is facilitating to reveal to us. His insight can be "spot on" even though he may not know you. His rare sensitivity is a gift..."
GB, Psychiatric Nurse Giselle“I have found the Inner Immersion workshops to be incredibly healing in my personal life, and I can see them being really helpful in my therapeutic work with clients as well.”
Laura Prado M.S. Health Psychology Resident"I had this experience that I saw myself, the parts of myself that I would judge all seemed to fuse into one Mass of energy and move toward me until it eventually became part of me, the part I was previously ashamed of and didn't want to show myself, let alone the outside world."
"It evolved me into a more complete, full, perfectly imperfect self. The sessions did do so much healing for me. Thank you!"
"Without this experience, I definitely think that my experience here would've been different. I think the group that I was here with was very, very lucky to be able to go through this. It brought me just so much peace and understanding that life goes on and continues. So, I'm just super grateful to be able to have had that experience and seen things that I never really thought I'd be able to see or understand before."
M. Participant in Recovery"The combination of art therapy and energy work in Inner Immersion created a unique space for healing. I was able to process emotions in a way I never had before."
R.H. Participant in Recovery"Jose's guidance through the Inner Immersion process was gentle yet powerful. I felt safe to explore parts of myself I had long ignored and suppressed."
L.F. Participant in RecoveryMany of us have very deep pathways engrained and hard to stay out of. This is the insidious mind that would rather see me stuck, needy, dim, safe. I don't know why but it seems the case.
This "Super Meditation"[Inner Immersion] is the best way I have found to change states quickly and powerfully."
"[Inner] Immersion has shed light down unexplored or forgotten corridors. The session was multi-faceted. Cathartic is the first word that comes to mind if I had to sum up [Inner] Immersion in one word. Each session is unique too, adding to the overall experiece."
